Mr. Nelson has evaluated hundreds of buildings, components, systems, and other structures for distress and damage caused by a wide variety of perils.  He has provided investigative findings and specified remedial measures for property owners, insurance carriers, attorneys, contractors, and engineering professionals.

Mr. Nelson has conducted multiple anti-terrorism and force protection (ATFP) vulnerability assessments and provided ATFP design recommendations for government organizations in the United States, as well as non-government organizations in Afghanistan and Iraq.  Additionally, Mr. Nelson has designed, conducted, observed, and evaluated multiple material and structural testing programs related to ATFP systems.
