Corey Barker has assisted in the evaluation of residential and commercial structures for damage to their foundations, roofing systems, and exteriors resulting from hail, wind, tree impacts, water intrusion, and more.
Prior to his time at Nelson, he attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated in May 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering. He was presented the Werner E. Dornberger Academic Excellence Award in 2021 for graduating at the top of the Architectural Engineering class.
In addition to his coursework in Architectural Engineering at the University of Texas, he worked part-time as a structural design engineer, where he reviewed numerous design and fabrication submittals and performed code research for new and existing buildings. He has also worked as a civil engineering intern, where he compiled Engineer’s Opinions of Probable Cost reports, conducted multiple feasibility studies for future commercial and multi-family developments, and drafted site plans.
