Mr. MacLeod has over 25 years of experience in architectural design, construction administration, and forensic evaluation.  This experience extends over a wide range of project types, including federal, municipal, private, commercial, religious, single family, multi-family, educational, clean rooms, industrial, manufacturing, public safety, and retail.

His early career was largely focused on investigation and repair of all manner of failed building envelope systems and fenestrations caused by weather, poor workmanship, alteration, vandalism, material failure, and fire.  Much of his career has focused on repair and alteration projects including historic structures, which gives him a strong understanding of building failures in a wide range of construction types, periods, and the nature of the materials used by each.  Additionally, Mr. MacLeod is an expert in identifying accessibility violations.

Throughout his career, Mr. MacLeod has embraced coordination and collaboration with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers, which has provided him with not only a greater literacy in these disciplines, but also a thorough understanding of how buildings work and fail as a whole.  This “big picture” outlook has been beneficial in identifying root causes and not just treating the symptoms of building failures.
